Morts Heavy, sludgey, doomy, cranky. It may be slow off the mark, and its cruising speed may never be in danger of redlining the engine, but once it's out on the road it may lull you into a rhythmic trance before running you over! Favorite track: To Vomit Crows.

Nicholas Deigman Amazing debut. Strong heavy riffs and a voice that blasts powerful anger into your ears. Some weird chorus harmonies that sound like the ghost of a hardcore track caught up in a storm of brutal distorted noise. When the tracks subside you pause for breathe like you would in the pit.

about

Recorded live, and entirely on analog equipment (2" - 22 track, 30 min tape reels on Akai analog recorder).

The first physical (self) release was on cassette tape in 2012 via the band with DIY artwork/layout from the band. A CD edition followed shortly after the same year using the same artwork via The Path Less Travelled Records. Due to the band's limited knowledge in graphic design, the CD cover print came very dark.

In 2014 the album was issued for the first time on vinyl via 7Degrees Records, Trendkill Recordings, and Shove Records, with a new and redesigned graphic layout from Kevin Gan Yuen using graphic elements sourced from the tape/CD layout. A tape and CD reissue using this new layout was planned but never happened.

about

Abstracter Oakland, California

“Man could not both know and succumb. Meantime huge smoking cities arose, innumerable. Green leaves shrank before the hot breath of furnaces. The fair face of Nature was deformed as with the ravages of some loathsome disease.”
